- Fundraising for 2023 Kinderkrankenhaus production at Brick Theater in Brooklyn
I am raising funds for a September 2023 production at the Brick
Theater, directed by Marissa Joyce Stamps.  Funds will go towards
paying the autistic and neurodivergent actors & crew.  What sets
Kinderkrankenhaus apart from other plays is that it offers an
opportunity for neurodivergent actors to engage with challenging,
              experimental work.

KINDERKRANKENHAUS

FINALIST for Big Other's 2021 Reader's Choice Award

Experimental play from Sagging Meniscus (2021)

In a vaguely familiar time and place, children gathered inside the grey walls of a hospital are given diagnoses they don’t understand and told to work towards correcting their ills, or face the consequences. KINDERKRANKENHAUS explores neurodiversity, the pathologizing of difference, and the complexity of labels in a world where the unspeaking are seen as unthinking.

The Book of the Last Word

Picture
The Book of the Last Word (Whisk(e)y Tit, 2019) is a work of experimental literary fiction that follows Chimera Aoki, a 20-something New Yorker, easy in love and working on a book of famous last words.  Arthur Noyes is older, secretive, existential.  They meet through Chimera’s girlfriend, and are brought together and flung apart through a cosmic collision of coincidence and deceit.

Heavily interwoven with Abrahamic religious influences, The Book of the Last Word culminates with Chimera discovering Arthur’s secret and having to decide if what Arthur has done is either immensely beneficial or horrifically damaging.
